Shinkiba R&D Center begins operations

Elephantech Inc. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Shinya Shimizu; hereinafter "Elephantech") is pleased to announce that the company has completed the installation of equipment and construction work at its Shinkiba R&D Center, where research and development of the P-Flex® Flex PCB have been conducted since January 2022. The facility has now started full operation.

Elephantech will continue to improve the performance of P-Flex® and advance Pure Additive™ processing by further improving the process and developing new equipment. To continue to lead the world in this field both scientifically and commercially, the Shinkiba R&D Center will accelerate research and development by strengthening both facilities and personnel.

On the first floor, there is a clean room for inkjet printing experiments and an assembly space for inkjet system development. Prototypes of next-generation inkjet printing systems, testing systems for Discharge and Drawing experiments, and various measuring instruments have been installed to develop inkjet printing systems.

An analysis room and a laboratory are located on the second floor. Analytical equipment such as thermal analyzers and Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometers, various testing machines, and surface treatment equipment have been installed to analyze data from actual measurements of materials and treatment methods and conduct research aimed at improving the performance of P-Flex®.
