Elephantech Corporation (head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, President: Shinya Shimizu, hereinafter “Elephantech”) manufactures completely mold-less and low-cost flexible PCB “P-Flex®” with printed-electronics technology. We have started a one-stop prototyping service that covers from artwork generation (wiring pattern) to Flexible PCB manufacturing, parts procurement and components mounting in as little as 3 days. This will contribute to an acceleration of Flexible PCB development and prototype production.

Elephantech has developed a complete mold-less, low cost Flexible PCB “P-Flex®” with printed-electronics technology. P-Flex® not only reduces mass production cost compared to conventional Flexible PCB (Flexible Substrate), it also has short delivery times and zero mould cost, so it is a suitable manufacturing method for our world where many kinds of products are downsized and mass customization progresses, and we have gained popularity, especially from customers with mass production of small to medium lots of about several tens of thousands of units a year, and have expanded sales.

At the same time, Elephantech had only endeavoured in the manufacturing of Flexible PCB and had not worked on component mounting and artwork (wiring pattern) design. This represented a problem as, when customers requested artwork design or component mounting, we had to have prototypes ordered from a third party even for small orders, leaving no benefits with regards to the total costs and delivery date, and was, above all, troublesome for the customers who did not have access to a one-stop solution.

Which is why we have created this new service, developing an in-house prototype manufacturing line and an artwork designing service, enabling a one-stop service that covers everything from artwork design to flexible PCB manufacturing, parts procurement and component mounting.

Depending on the delivery date, we offer three different service plans, from the affordable plan to the super fast plan. Elephantech’s completely mold-less proprietary manufacturing method based on inkjet printing allows for a service covering from artwork design to component mounting that is 20% to 50% less costly than existing services, both in terms of delivery dates and price.※
