Announcing the Development and Evaluation of
Inkjet Processes for Nickel Electrodes and Wiring
Elephantech Inc.1 (“Elephantech”) is pleased to announce that, in collaboration with SSTechno Inc.2 ("SSTechno") and the Osaka Research Institute of Industrial Science and Technology3 ("ORIST"), the company has begun development and evaluation of nickel nano inks for inkjet printing.

The project focuses on studying inkjet printhead compatible Ni nano ink compositions and sintering conditions for ensuring conductivity after printing. Elephantech will continue to expand the variety of metal ink types the company handles to promote further the use and application of inkjet technologies in an ever-growing number of fields, including electronic component manufacturing processes.

Elephantech, ORIST and SSTechno are collaborating on a project to make electrode layers even
thinner. ORIST has successfully developed Ni nanoparticles with a diameter of under 50 nm while SSTechno and Elephantech are respectively working on developing ink formulations and inkjet processes.
Regarding the contents of this release, further announcements are to be made by Elephantech with a poster presentation and panel session scheduled for The Japan Institute of Electronics Packaging Work Shop to be held on October 15, 2021.
